Events at the temporary Tanasi Gallery will include live demonstrations, some of them hands-on, of regional arts and crafts on display at the Gallery. They will include painting, pottery, wood carving, weaving, and broom-making. Some demonstrations will be held indoors and others outdoors, on the grounds of the Information Center. Check back for a schedule of upcoming events. 

Once the Tanasis Arts and Heritage Center is built and operating, regular events will include: 

• live stage performances by local actors and drama and dance companies, including students from college and high school theater arts programs
• live entertainment such as bluegrass concerts in the amphitheater
• pioneer-day demonstrations of Tennessee frontier skills and old-time handicrafts such as agriculture, bread-making, tool-making, whittling, and even moonshine distilling
• artist and craft showcases and hands-on demonstrations of such as crafts as pottery and basket-weaving
• demonstrations and educational events for school children on subjects such as Appalachian pioneer culture, Native
• American heritage, regional wildlife; and Appalachian mountain geology
• Organized group nature hikes up the Pinnacle Tower Trail, which originates at the Tanasi site.
