Heritage Center will serve as a cultural showcase, a regional arts
and crafts center, a gathering place, and a vital connecting point for
East Tennessee’s heritage. It is to this beautiful place that visitors
come from all around to celebrate and experience first-hand the past, present,
and future of the arts, crafts, music, drama, dance, literature, history
and heritage, food, and natural beauty of the Tennessee Mountains and their
people.
The mission of the Tanasi
center is to celebrate Appalachian culture and heritage while at the same
time promoting regional entrepreneurship along with socioeconomic and environmental
sustainability.
